A digest is a snapshot of how a project’s spec changed over a date range. Use it for a stakeholder update, a weekly team recap, or a summary of what shipped. Open Digests from the project rail.
Generate a digest
- Open a project and click Digests in the rail
- Click Generate digest
- Pick the date range
- Name the digest (optional)
- Click Generate
When the digest is ready you get an in-app notification and an email. Turn the email off with the Digest ready switch in account notifications.
Schedule digests
To get digests automatically, click Set schedule in the banner at the top of the Digests page.
- Cadence — Weekly or Monthly
- On or Day of month — the day it runs
- At and Timezone — the time it runs
- Auto-publish public link — each digest gets a share link automatically
- Notify members in app — everyone is notified when a digest is ready
Click Save schedule. Reopen the banner to Edit schedule, Pause, Resume, or Remove it. Scheduled digests are tagged Auto in the list.
Statuses
- Pending — queued
- Generating… — Specsight is writing the digest
- Ready — open and read
- Failed — open it to see why, then generate a new one
After a re-analysis, older digests can fall out of date. They get a stale icon in the list and a note on the digest — generate a new one for the current view.
Share and download
Open a ready digest, click Share, then Generate link. Anyone with the link can read the digest — no Specsight account needed. The button switches to Public; reopen it to copy the URL or Revoke link.
Download PDF exports the whole digest as a branded PDF.
