An annotation is a free-text note attached to a scenario. Use it for team discussion — questions about behaviour, links to tickets, decisions about what should change. Annotations sit alongside the scenario and never alter what it says.
Add an annotation
- Open the spec and find the scenario
- Click the speech-bubble icon at the end of the row to open the annotations panel
- Type your note. Type @ followed by a name to mention a member
- Click Annotate to post
Annotations are permanent — they cannot be edited or deleted. To correct one, post a follow-up that supersedes it.
Who can annotate
Every role can annotate — Admin, Developer, Editor, and Viewer. Annotations are commentary, not spec content. See members and roles for the full breakdown.
Where annotations show up
Each annotation appears in three places: the scenario panel where it was posted, the project changelog as an event, and the scenario’s History section. The speech-bubble icon on a scenario row shows the count when annotations exist.
