Pilot launch, feedback grows up, and the in-app bell
12 Apr 2026 – 22 Apr 2026·by Specsight
A ten-day stretch where the team turned outward. The pilot subscription system landed first, then the Feedback modal that opened earlier in the month grew a triage history page, then a unified in-app bell brought every notification into one place.
What's new
·Feedback history page — every past submission listed with its category, status, attachments, and any reply from the Specsight team.
·In-app notifications — a bell menu now collects every notification that previously only arrived by email, with a per-type unread count.
·Markdown export joins PDF and Excel — the spec downloads as a single Markdown document with a table of contents and grouping by category.
·Single-feature export — download the documentation for one area of the product (and its sub-areas) rather than the whole tree.
What's changed
·The integrations tab is now named MCP rather than API Keys, with OAuth as the recommended setup path and connection keys as the fallback.
·Free-tier teams keep one permanent project, with a tighter monthly sync allowance to match the new structure.
·Mention notifications fan out — an in-app bell entry always fires, and an email follows only if the recipient has mention emails on.
·Notification preferences split clearly between in-app and email — turning email off no longer silences the in-app bell.
·Expanding a sync entry on the changelog now opens a per-area, per-change breakdown showing the before and after of every field that moved.
What's gone
·The legacy "API Keys" tab is retired alongside the rename — generating a generic full-access key for custom scripts is no longer supported. The MCP gateway is read-only and OAuth-first; existing scripts that relied on a write-capable key need to move to the AI-tool flow.
